The Past:

I always wanted to learn pottery, and I must say for a few years, I had been mulling on that thought and always kept shelving it for a later date. For a few times, I tried to get on the list with The Shop Toronto – but didn’t get around to it what so ever reason I gave to myself until the end of 2019.

My first experience of hands-on pottery was last year to be precise in Jan 2019 during our family trip to Palampur. I took a quick introductory lesson about pottery at Andretta Pottery, and it made it clear, I would love to learn the art.

I reside in Toronto, So this time I made sure I got in, I was on the wait-list and got in as soon as the shop Toronto opened the classes.

The Present:

It makes me wonder when I am at home away from home in India. What if I kept ignoring, I might yet have had pottery on the wishlist. Funny how we keep waiting for the right time, or someday, and never get around to things what our heart desires. It doesn’t matter if it’s small or big, free or expensive. It’s about taking action and making it happen.
Do you have any such wishes? COVID has straightened my priorities. I pretty much want to make sure I at least once meet the items on my wish list in action.

The Future:

Pottery making, I will see you once I am back in Toronto; However, I am allergic to dust, and I anyway had to put on a mask to save myself from the aggravated allergy due to tiniest dust particles. Still, the excitement and the thrill (lol yes thrill) of whatever shape and size pottery I create is much higher than the pain it puts me through.
And, of course, to meet my wishlist in action. I can’t wait to M A K E – I T – H A P P E N.

What have been your AHA moment?

Cheers,
Nidhi
